The Egyptian Museum, which spans the complete timeline of Egyptian civilization, is home to over 120,000 artifacts. The ground floor features a variety of colossal figures and massive statues that will leave you in awe.. Its treasures range from complex reliefs, sarcophagi, funerary art, papyri to a collection of fabulous jewelry and ornaments. Noteworthy collections include that of Tanis, Queen Hatshepsut, and Amenhotep IV (Akhenaton) from Karnak.
The museum's crown jewels are the exhibits of King Tutankhamun, which is a must-see in the museum. This extensive collection features a gold mummy mask, hunting tools, canoptic jars, and other artifacts intended for the afterlife. Moreover, the Royal Mummies Hall offers a face-to-face encounter with some of Egypt's most renowned pharaohs, including Tuthmosis II, Ramses II, and Seti I.
