Registration & Documents

It’s crucial to have a valid passport for all the countries you’ll visit or transit through. Remember, many nations require your passport to be valid for at least six months beyond the length of your stay. Visa requirements depend on your nationality. If in doubt, contact your embassy. It’s also wise to keep copies of your passport details, insurance policy, visas, and credit card numbers, separate from the originals.

To protect your travel investment, we recommend a comprehensive travel insurance package covering cancellations, baggage delays or loss, medical expenses, and activities. Our ‘Gold Seal Protection’ is an excellent option for additional coverage.

To ensure you’re well-informed about travel restrictions and guidelines for your chosen destinations, Skylink Travel provides a convenient tool to check the travel requirements for your tour. As guidelines change frequently, it’s advisable to stay updated.

With us, specific tips and gratuities are included in your tour package. Your Travel Concierge will handle tips for porters at hotels, service charges, and gratuities for hotel staff during your included meals. However, in certain situations, individual tipping is appreciated.

Hotel Services: Tips for room service delivery are customary if not already added to your bill.

Local Hosts and Local Specialists: In regions outside the Americas, gratuities for Local Hosts and Local Specialists are not included. It’s customary to tip as a token of appreciation for their insights and expertise.

Your Travel Concierge and Driver: At the end of your tour, if you wish to express your gratitude for their exceptional service, you can offer them a tip. To make it easier, most of our tours provide an option to prepay gratuities for the Travel Concierge and Driver at the time of booking. This is not available for tours in Asia, Africa, and Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast. For more information, consult with your local sales representative or reservation agent at the time of booking.

Eating and Drinking: Tips and gratuities for all meals included in your itinerary are handled by your Travel Concierge. When dining independently, it’s good to know the local tipping norms. In Europe, a 5-10% tip is usual in most restaurants. Make sure to check if the service charge is already included. In North America, customary tipping varies from 10-20% of the total bill before tax. Your Travel Concierge can answer any queries regarding when and how much to tip.
